On the morning of September 4, China Aid Road Project in Papua New Guinea donated school supplies to Hohola Demonstration Primary School in Port Moresby. His Excellency Liu Linlin, the economic and commercial counselor of the Chinese embassy in Papua New Guinea, and Mr. Deng Bo, Deputy Chief Engineer of CHEC and General Manager of the Regional Center were present for the donation activity.
At the beginning of the event, President Rotona Girana of Hohola Demonstration Primary School in Port Moresby delivered a welcome speech. He expressed his gratitude to the Chinese government for its assistance to Papua New Guinea, shared the feelings of students and teachers about the high-quality implementation of the China aid road, and admonished all teachers and students to learn from CHEC's builders who do not shy away from hard work and courageously take responsibility. Later, Mr. Deng Bo introduced CHEC's business development in Papua New Guinea and stressed the important significance of the road construction to relieve the traffic pressure in Port Moresby and its contribution to the APEC conference in 2018. Finally, His Excellency Liu Linlin and Mr. Deng Bo jointly handed out school supplies to the students.
His Excellency Liu Linlin pointed out that this donation activity reflected the social responsibility of CHEC and played a positive role in the development of friendly relations between China and Papua New Guinea. He called on Chinese enterprises to contribute more to educational and cultural undertakings and other aspects of Papua New Guinea, and encouraged students to study hard and get the opportunity to go to China for further studies.
