On December 16, CHEC and the Highways Department of Hong Kong SAR Government signed the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Boundary Crossing Facilities Phase 2 contract and Other Works, and Su Yansong, Vice Chief Engineer of CHEC and General Manager of Hong Kong Zhenhua attended this signing ceremony.
CHEC undertook three projects in the construction of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Boundary Crossing Facilities Phase 1, covering land reclamation, roads and bridges, and construction of drainage works. On such basis, CHEC further searched for the project’s second development opportunity , and actively participated in the bidding for the follow-up construction project of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Boundary Crossing Facilities. Owing to the owner's trust and recognition of the project quality during Phase 1, CHEC finally won the bid.
The contract signed this time covers the optimization of the Hong Kong Port Passenger Clearance Building, installation of a slope irrigation system for a public transport hub, renovation of the existing pedestrian path, clearance pavilion for private vehicles and related pavement works and installation of necessary equipment.
Winning the bid for this project reflects the recognition of the Hong Kong SAR government of CHEC’s brand and professional strength, thereby laying a solid foundation for CHEC to further deepen its continuous participation in projects relating to the Hong Kong Port and airport vicinity.
