Recently, CHEC officially signed the contract for Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge (HZMB) Hong Kong Port Infrastructure Construction Project (Phase I). The contract amount is USD 300 million and the construction period is 880 days.
The project comprises of the eight flyovers on the west of HZMB Hong Kong Port (about 2.4km long in total), roads connecting the ground, street lamps, traffic ancillary facilities, drainage and sewage work, water work, environment beautification work and public utility and electromechanical facilities and so on.
This project is the third HZMB-related project CHEC signed after HZMB Artificial Island project and accompanying roads and it is also an important passage connecting HZMB Artificial Island and Hong Kong International Airport; it is expected to be completed in December, 2016. After its completion, it will become an important transportation hub connecting Hong Kong and Mainland China.
