The Project in Ebola-affected Area was Completed and CHEC was Praised by the President of Guinea

On November 17, Alpha Cond - President of the Republic of Guinea attended the completion ceremony of Conakry Port Container Terminal Expansion Project undertaken by CHEC. Over 400 people, including Fofana - Prime Minister of Guinea, Koundiano - Speaker of National Assembly of Guinea, Bian Jianqiang - Chinese ambassador to Guinea, Goa Tiefeng - economic and commercial counselor,Bertrand - French ambassador to Guinea, Ange - Vice President of the client France Bollor Group and 40 ministerial-level officials of Guinea, were present.

President Cond, in his speech pointed out that in face of the server situation of Ebola outbreak, CHEC and the project team always stuck to their posts without stopping work, overcame various difficulties, increased the input of human resources and equipment and guaranteed the successful implementation of the project, which promoted the political stability and economic development of Guinea and further strengthened the friendship between China and Guinea. He said a friend in need was a friend indeed and would like to further deepen the broad cooperation with CHEC in transport infrastructure field.

Diallo - Minister of Transport of Guinea, Sankhom - Director of Conakry Port Authority and Ange - Vice President of France Bollor Group also gave speeches, praising that CHEC completed the project as scheduled with a high quality and pointed out that the project set up a good example for the "three-party cooperation" model of Guinea, France and China and brought confidence to the investment in Guinea.

Witnessed by Ambassador Bian Jianqiang, the director of the port authority and the President of the client, President Cond issued the "High-quality project" certificate and medal of "HES Management 2.5 Million Hours without Accidents" to CHEC in person.

The contract for this project was signed on November 13, 2012, with a contract amount of about USD 52 million and a construction period of 17 months. The main work comprises of a new 300m-long container terminal shoreline, construction of track beam behind the portal crane, installation of the terminal mooring facilities and foundation bed, basin dredging, etc.
